The Smart City for the SEZ in Rustenburg was envisioned as a transformative regional development anchored around economic growth, sustainability, and long-term infrastructure resilience. Commissioned by the North West Development Corporation, this 2023 concept masterplan sets the framework for a fully integrated Special Economic Zone (SEZ) that combines industrial capability, renewable energy production, mixed-use urban living, and community infrastructure.
